Job description: 360 Grab Driver / Wheel Loader / Metal Recycling Yard Operative
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday-Friday (plus overtime, inc Weekends)

360 Grab Driver / Wheel Loader / Yard Operative required to work within our Operations team in our dynamic Stainless metal recycling site.

The purpose of the 360 Grab Driver / Wheel Loader / Yard Operative is to predominately handle, sort and process incoming metal for recycling in a safe manner, in accordance with company procedure. Ensuring that all material processed adheres to grade specification, and customers' request is the key to our quality. Whilst this is their primary role, the successful candidate will also carry out general yard operative duties as required as part of a close working team.
Key duties/responsibilities:
* Handling, sorting and processing of metal using 360 Mobile Grab & Wheel Loader
* Accepting receipt of material from Suppliers
* Loading vehicles for Customers as directed by Production Manager
* General yard operations & housekeeping duties
* Carrying out daily visual safety checks on plant and equipment used
* Ensure the working area is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times
* Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
* Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community
* Foster and promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement within the organisation
* Attend any training courses required by the company
* Liaise between functions to ensure teamwork, consistency, coordination and best practice to eliminate losses from poor practices or communication and to expedite learning.
Skills required:
* Experienced in operating 360 grabs & wheel loaders.
* Proven track record of working within a team environment
* Proven ability to adhere to safety procedures whilst fulfilling daily duties
* Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
* Organisational skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong communication skills, willing to ask for assistance when needed
* Tele-Handler and/or Fork-Lift Truck would be preferred but not essential
