Job Description Team Leader, Fast Track RTA-OIC/MOJ-portal/Non-Portal We ’ re working with a UK law firm specialising in road traffic accident claims that is seeking a Team Leader to support the Head of Fast Track. The role is based from Wakefield with a hybrid model, typically two days a week on site. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with a one-hour lunch break. We need OIC/MOJ Fast Track Team Leaders for both portal and non-portal roles. The salaries for these positions range from £35,000 to £45,000, depending on experience (DOE) Why Join / Why This Role? The Role & Impact The Team Leader will guide a team of RTA fee earners and administrative colleagues to deliver quality outcomes, consistent processes, and agreed KPIs. The role includes performance management, technical supervision, and close oversight of case progression, telephony performance, and compliance. It is central to maintaining strong client care, effective litigation strategy, and a well-supported, engaged team. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop the team through regular one to ones, appraisals, and monthly performance meetings. Deliver financial targets and KPI performance by monitoring MI, case progression, and team outputs. Oversee telephony performance and service levels, taking action to maintain standards. Provide technical guidance on personal injury matters across litigated and non-litigated cases, including pre action protocols, costs regimes, OIC, MOJ Portal, and Intermediate Track. Manage client complaints in line with Law Society and internal procedures, capturing feedback to reduce recurrence. Ensure compliance with SRA rules, DPA, billing, housekeeping, and monies on account; complete monthly management controls and act on findings. Identify training needs, arrange learning activity, and embed new working practices and procedures. Produce clear recommendations to the Head of Fast Track and peers to improve efficiency and quality. We’re looking for someone with the following experience: Essential Proven background handling personal injury claims, including Part 7 litigation and/or MOJ Portal stages 1 to 3. Strong technical knowledge of Fast Track procedures, with understanding of OIC and Intermediate Track case tracks. Experience supervising or leading people, including performance management and coaching. Confident with MI and reporting, with strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills. Excellent communication, time management, numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail. Nice to have Experience managing complaints within a regulated environment. Working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and DPA compliance in a legal setting. Formal mentoring or training delivery experience. Why Explore This Role?
