Key Information

Job title – Production Delivery Supervisor

Grade – TC12

Salary – £68,149

Location – Acton – Required to work across the network

Contract Type – Permanent – London Underground (LU)

Working Hours – Sunday – Thursday – Night Tube Roster

This role is night working role.


Overview of Project / Role

As a Track Supervisor you will be required to deliver the Track Maintenance Operations in accordance with LU and TL standards, processes and procedures. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of staff, materials and plant in accordance with LU procedures and policies.

An ideal candidate will prepare detailed scope of works and procure plant and materials to enable maintenance works to be completed safely and efficiently.

You will take mitigating action as required, including escalation to the Inspection Supervisor when the procedure for Temporary Approved Non-Compliance is required.


Key Accountabilities

* Ensuring staff assigned are correctly certified to undertake planned works
* Responsible for submitting timely and accurate reports for accidents, delays and investigations
* Ensure compliance to LU Engineering Standards, Process & Procedures and ensuring procedures and processes is maintained.
* Delivery of HR, Environmental and Financial LU procedures, processes and policies within the track environment.
* Delivery of Track Safety, HR, Environmental, Technical and Management briefings on a regular basis and that they undertake regular inspections to verify those briefings.
* Ensure that non-compliant defects are managed in a timely and efficient manner.
* Lead the production teams to ensure works are completed safely and compliant with the standards for track maintenance.
* Ensure plant and equipment allocated to the teams is suitable and properly maintained replacing defective or broken items in a timely manner.
* Ensure non-compliant maintenance works are managed in accordance with the company procedure for TANC (Temporary Approved Non-Compliance).
* Assist the Inspection Team to maintain the computerised asset management system to ensure that the work bank is accurate.


Skills, Knowledge & Experience


Skills

* Proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Proven ability to communicate with people at all levels, including both external and internal stakeholders
* Analytical approach to data management and problem solving
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong leadership skills to ensure effective team development and address challenges and barriers that impact on people management
* Competent in implementing and removing Temporary Speed Restrictions
* Working knowledge of asset management systems


Knowledge

* Hold or work towards and maintain NVQ Level 2 Safety certificate
* Hold and maintain T001 Safety Critical License
* Hold and maintain T002 Safety Critical License
* Hold and maintain PWT-EH Safety Critical License
* Hold or work towards and maintain Temporary Approved Non-Compliance [TAP] certification.
* Hold and maintain PM4 Junction Work Inspection Safety Critical Licence
* Certified to undertake PM3 Supervisory Quality Inspection
* Knowledge of Health and Safety rules, regulations and legislation in the railway environment up to IOSH level preferable.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement best practice
* Knowledge of Track systems/Standards/Construction technique


Experience

* Proven track record in managing track maintenance works utilising both internal and contract labour in a high-pressure time and safety critical environment
* Proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Proven ability to communicate with people at all levels, including both external and internal stakeholders
* Analytical approach to data management and problem solving
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong leadership skills to ensure effective team development and address challenges and barriers that impact on people management
* Competent in implementing and removing Temporary Speed Restrictions
