About Us
Freight Investor Services (FIS) is a leading global brokerage of freight and commodities. We are the world’s largest broker on dry freight futures, with a strong presence across bulk commodities, metals, and energy markets. We pioneered trading in the cleared market on iron ore and coking coal futures, and maintain a strong position in broking steel futures on all exchanges, as well as fuel oil, base metals, fertilisers, and tanker freight. Our innovative ethos drives us to be first movers in new markets, such as cobalt and air freight futures. We provide brokerage services, data via our FIS Live app, and educational support for new market entrants.
Our network extends through offices in London, New York, Houston, Dubai, Mumbai, Athens, Copenhagen, Geneva, Singapore, and Shanghai, offering comprehensive brokerage, trade execution, market intelligence, and physical shipping services. Our expertise in credit and counterparty risk management ensures our clients can trade confidently.
