Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer in English to join our Slough & Langley College team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Lecturer in English
As a Lecturer in English, you will be joining our Ofsted Rated Good Colleges Group delivering effective teaching programs within your competency areas, focusing on developing independent learners and facilitating student progression.
Working closely with Specialist Learning Coaches, you will assist learners facing barriers to learning and help them overcome these barriers to ensure high levels of student attendance, retention, and achievement. This includes engaging in the assessment of learners from application, progression, setting targets and milestones, and providing necessary support where needed.
The successful candidate will ideally possess a Level 3 or higher qualification in English, along with a recognised teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one within the first 2 years in role. Experience and knowledge of ongoing curriculum development, managing the learning process, and supporting learners to achieve high standards are also essential.
