Due to continued expansion and the need for enhanced financial oversight, they are now seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant / QBE Accountant to support cash flow, compliance and operational finance activities. About the Job Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with and executing the following duties: Managing and monitoring company cash flow Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance Managing CIS processes and ensuring subcontractor compliance Processing invoices and resolving any supplier queries Handling accounts payable and supplier reconciliations Completing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations Supporting cost efficiency initiatives, including supplier reviews and price comparisons Preparing cash flow projections and supporting financial planning Maintaining accurate financial records for audit and compliance Supporting general finance tasks as required within a construction environment Your Skills & Experience Construction industry finance experience is essential Strong understanding of cash flow management, VAT and CIS Experience with supplier management, invoicing and reconciliations Ability to identify and implement cost efficiencies Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel Previous experience in a busy finance environment (desirable) ATI qualified or QBE (desirable) For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
