About the role
This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Darlington STEP. As our housing and property expert, you'll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well-maintained. You'll provide a housing management service, supporting tenants to manage and sustain their tenancies and rent accounts, with the aim of helping them to maintain stable accommodation.
Typical day as a Housing Management Coordinator
* Supporting customers with mental health and complex needs.
* Ensuring properties of our 15 customers are well-maintained and engaging them in their tenancies.
* Assisting with housing benefit claims and ensuring these are reflected in rent accounts.
* Issuing and signing warning letters and notices, including attending court when necessary.
* Preparing properties for new tenants and turning around vacant properties within set timescales.
* Ensuring health and safety compliance and maintenance standards are met.
What you bring
* Experience managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord duties.
* Knowledge of re-letting procedures, rent collection, and tenancy actions.
* Ability to lead within a team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
* Proactive, well-organized, and able to work independently.
* Excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Job details
* Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
* Based at our Darlington service, with travel around properties.
* Proficiency in technology for support plans, benefit claims, and tenancy processes.
* Must have a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage paid.
* Enhanced DBS check required, paid for by us.
