Customer Service and Sales – Telesales & Counter Sales at Briants of Risborough If you are motivated by delivering quality customer experiences, enjoy building ongoing relationships, and have a flair for sales, this role is for you. You will be responsible for greeting customers in person, answering phone enquiries, processing sales orders, and supporting the growth of our business by identifying customer needs and offering tailored solutions. Location : Green Close Works, Thame Rd, Longwick, Princes Risborough, HP27 9SG Key Responsibilities – Counter Service, Telesales, and Customer Engagement Welcome and assist customers at the sales counter, providing expert advice on fencing, timber, and landscaping materials. Handle inbound calls professionally, responding to product queries, providing quotes, and supporting customer orders. Drive sales by identifying opportunities to match customer requirements with suitable products and upselling where appropriate. Proactively contact existing and potential customers, both trade and retail, to strengthen relationships and encourage repeat business. Accurately process customer orders using our internal system, communicating clearly with the warehouse and delivery teams. Address and resolve customer issues or complaints efficiently and positively, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. Work collaboratively with colleagues in sales, warehousing, and logistics to provide a seamless and professional service. Ensure the sales area and reception are kept clean and organised as a reflection of our standards. Experience and Skills – What We’re Looking For Background in telesales, counter sales, customer service, or similar roles – ideally within building materials, trade supply, or retail sectors. Confident communicator with excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to drive sales, meet targets, and deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations. Competent IT user, experienced with order processing systems or similar software. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Positive approach and genuine enthusiasm for providing great customer service. Hours, Benefits, and Reward – Working at Briants of Risborough Full-time, 44.5 hours per week: Monday–Friday (07:30–17:00), alternate Saturdays (08:00–12:00). Salary range £30,000 - £33,000, based on skills and experience. 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and an extra celebration day.
