Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Activities coordinator to lead our engagement programmes within our assisted living and nursing home facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a variety of activities tailored to enhance the quality of life for our residents, particularly those in dementia care, and Alzheimer's care. This role requires exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for caregiving.
Duties
* Design and implement engaging activity programmes that cater to the interests and needs of residents.
* Foster a warm and inclusive environment that encourages participation from all residents.
* Assess the individual needs of residents to tailor activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
* Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to continually improve programming.
* Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure activities align with resident preferences.
* Organise special events, and celebrations that enhance community spirit within the care home.

Experience
* Previous experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* A background in dementia care, or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable.
* Proven experience in caregiving or related fields will be an advantage.
* Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff.
