Working Pattern: Term time only (38 weeks)
Hours: 26 hours per week, 830am-330pm Monday - Thursday
Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata): £14,449 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in the classroom. We are seeking an individual to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with SEND children in our Reception class. The school will provide a supportive environment in which the Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and other members of staff to ensure the needs of the child are met, allowing them to thrive in our setting.
To succeed in this role, you will need to:
1. Provide support to the Teacher in the planning and evaluation of learning activities and support the delivery of learning activities
2. Motivate and encourage students by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks
3. Consistently and effectively implement agreed behaviour management strategies.
You will have:
4. Maths and English GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent
5. Experience of establishing positive relationships with students and the ability to empathise with their needs
6. Knowledge of SEN
7. A knowledge of autism would be desirable
