Job Title: Transport Shift Manager
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days, 6am to 6pm.
So what's it all about?
As our next Transport Shift Manager, you will play a key leadership role guiding a team of colleagues and overseeing the day-to-day running of our Transport operation. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys leading others, and finds satisfaction in delivering results through effective teamwork and smart operational leadership.
You will be at the forefront of ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across our transport operation, managing our fleet and a team of experienced Team Leaders. This is a hands-on leadership role where your focus will be on maintaining high standards in compliance, health & safety, and operational excellence. You will also oversee essential people functions, including performance reviews, holiday and absence management, and recruitment.
Working closely with the Vehicle Services team, you will take full ownership of compliance-related responsibilities—covering areas such as fleet management, driver training, and speeding regulations. You will also be working cross-functionally with other departments such as Warehouse and Manufacturing, ensuring schedules align seamlessly with Transport operations and customer order timelines.
This isn't your typical 9–5 desk job. It's a fast-paced, interactive role requiring flexibility within our 24/7 operation.
Success in this role requires a methodical mindset, a proactive approach, and strong communication skills. You will lead, support, and engage with your team daily, fostering a positive and productive work environment. As our next Transport Shift Manager, you will relish the challenge and be motivated by ensuring customers receive their orders on time in full each day.
The Key Requirements...
* Experience in a similar role in a transport environment
* A certification of professional competency ( transport management CPC) or be studying towards this
* Solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to propose ideas that enhance operational efficiency
