Support Worker
Location: Lyndale, Hereford (HR1)
Salary: £13.20 - £13.90 per hour*
Shift Patterns: 07:00-14:00, 14:00-21:00, 07:00-21:00
Welcome to Lyndale, a Hereford-based residential service catering to individuals with Mental Health Needs, Learning Disabilities and Autism. The service accommodates up to 10 adults, delivering personalised support tailored to individual needs. Based in Hereford, a 5 minute walk from the train station, Lyndale is a rewarding place to work and aims to encourage independence in all aspects of the individuals' lives.
The individuals we support enjoy a number of activities in the local community including cinema, trips to the seaside, lunch out, shopping and appointments as and when required.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support and routine of the people we support.
* Prompt independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
* Support and encourage the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
* Maintain and help with health care needs, including accompanying to routine appointments or administering medication.
* Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
* Assist with personal care as required.
* Assist with domestic tasks, including cleaning and cooking.
* Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
Qualifications and Training
Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development.
