GP Partner / Salaried GP - Twin Oaks Medical Centre
Twin Oaks Medical Centre seeks a highly skilled and enthusiastic GP to join our team of Partners, salaried doctors, nurses, HCAs, and phlebotomists.
We are an approachable and supportive team with an open-door policy. We are proud to have a fabulous and friendly multidisciplinary team to support us and look after a list of around 5500 patients in Bransgore and Burley. We aim to provide a high standard of care whilst maintaining the local feel of the practice and incorporating the current changes in general practice. We are fortunate to be part of the Avon Valley Network of practices which helps with this.
Our recent NHS patient survey results support this, and we consistently achieve higher than local and national averages. “94%describe their overall experience of this GP practice as good”
We are seeking those who want to work in a beautiful part of the country on the edge of the New Forest National Park. Members of staff come from the local area, or commute in easily from the Bournemouth and Poole area, with great access to the local beaches.
We’d love to hear from you. For more information or to come and visit and join us for a coffee please contact Annie James (practice manager) on 01425 674741 or email to annie.james@nhs.net
Twin Oaks Medical Centre
We care for our patients across two sites, Twin Oaks Medical Centre in Bransgore, and our small branch surgery in Burley (from which we also dispense).
We try hard to preserve the best elements of traditional general practice; being friendly, accessible, responsive to local need and offering continuity to our patients. We offer a same day GP service with both face to face and telephone appointments depending on need.
We are a member of the Avon Valley Primary Care Network (PCN) together with Cornerways, Ringwood and Fordingbridge surgeries. We are fortunate to be incredibly well supported by ARRS staff employed through this. We have a pharmacy team running our medications monitoring systems and medicines reconciliation of letters and discharge summaries. We have first contact MSK physiotherapy. We have a home visiting paramedic service and a frailty (admission avoidance) team to help with home visits. We have a patient wellbeing team including mental health practitioners, social prescribers, and care navigators.
We are a well-established training practice hosting GP trainees from the Dorset training scheme.
We use SystmOne for our clinical record, AccuRx, have a video calling facility and eConsult.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic GP with good prospects for partnership, working 6 sessions across 3-4 days (but we would welcome a discussion about alternative working patterns). As a high-earning practice, we will offer a competitive salary to the right applicant.
