Working with a well-established company operating within the Defence and Aerospace industry.
The Role
1. Ensure all products conform to customer drawings and specifications, focusing on complex aerospace parts.
2. Perform inspections using various measurement devices, including handheld tools (micrometers, verniers, plug and thread gauges), shadowgraphs, and height gauges.
3. Carry out First Offs, In-Process, Goods Inwards, and Final Inspections according to customer drawings and specifications.
4. Prepare and conduct FAIRs in accordance with AS9102 standards.
5. Support all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100, along with all relevant company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles.
7. Clean and maintain work areas and equipment, including tools.
8. Ensure proper authority, training, and skills are in place to perform the role within QMS regulations.
9. Report inspection findings to senior management as required.
The Candidate
* Aerospace experience is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Understanding of GD&T.
* Experience in FAIR creation and completion according to AS9102.
* Familiarity with Modus CMM programming language is advantageous.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Experience in Metrology, Calibration, and gauge control is preferred.
