The Role As an HLTA, you will: Deliver planned lessons and lead whole-class teaching in the absence of the class teach Have experience in delivering PE lessons to whole classes and supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Have experience in supporting and delivering whole class teaching in other curriculum areas Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development. Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning. Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents. Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding. This role requires someone confident in leading learning in PE, supporting pupils across different year groups, and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold HLTA status or have significant experience working at HLTA level Have recent experience working within a UK primary school Be confident delivering lessons and leading whole-class learning Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills Be passionate about supporting children's learning and development Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents Be seeking a long-term role within a supportive school environment This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to step into an HLTA position, or an established HLTA looking for a new opportunity.
