Locum Consultant Anaesthetist – Pain Management

We are inviting applications for a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in pain management at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The department includes over 30 consultants, 5 of whom specialise in chronic pain management.
Job Summary
As a Locum Consultant, you will join a well-established Pain Clinic team of Consultants, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, an Acupuncturist, Pain Specialist Nurses and an Alexander Technique Teacher. Your main duties will include:
 * Provide anaesthetic support for pain management procedures.
 * Contribute to quality improvement projects and research.
 * Engage in teaching and training of junior doctors and other staff.
 * Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (consultants, psychologists, physiotherapists, etc.).
Qualifications and Experience
 * Full GMC registration (or eligibility to obtain).
 * FRCA or equivalent.
 * Current CCT in Anaesthesia or within 6 months of completion.
 * Advanced pain training (RCoA) or equivalent.
 * Desirable: D/FFPMRCA or equivalent in pain medicine.
 * Competency in regional anaesthesia.
 * Expertise in interventional pain medicine and chronic pain management.

 * Strong communication skills.
 * Commitment to professional development and clinical governance.
Contract Details
 * Fixed term, 12 months.
 * Full-time, consultant grade.
 * Salary: £105,504 to £139,882 per year (pro rata).
