Overview

This is a post to work as a member of the Breast Imaging Department at The Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust, rated as Outstanding by the CQC. As an integral member of the breast care team, the successful candidate will be involved in the following responsibilities.


Responsibilities

* Delivering screening and symptomatic breast imaging services including:
* Interpretation of screening mammograms
* New patient symptomatic clinics (including clinical and imaging assessment)
* Screening assessment clinics
* Intervention (predominantly image-guided intervention such as ultrasound and stereotactic guided core biopsy)
* Undertaking clinical examinations and formulating diagnostic pathway plans
* Participating in MDT meetings
* Optimising patient management
* Communicating with the multidisciplinary team
* Undertaking audit and service improvement projects
* Collaborating in research


Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a GMC registered doctor and will have completed the RCR/NBIA breast clinician training program with credentialling or demonstrate equivalent post graduate breast imaging qualifications along with relevant breast imaging experience.
