Consultant Anaesthetist – NHS Grampian
Location: Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, Scotland.
Employment: Full time, flexible or part‑time appointment. Designated work may also occur at other Grampian or Health Board hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Anaesthetic Department at Dr Gray’s Hospital.
* Provide specialist anaesthetic care in accordance with Royal College of Anaesthetists standards.
* Participate in the newly established consultant‑led obstetric service, including the resident non‑consultant rota tier.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality patient care.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC.
* Certificate of Completion of Training (FRCA) and higher specialist training leading to CCT.
* Within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from interview date.
* Eligibility for CESR or Portfolio Pathway specialist registration, where applicable.
* International recognised specialist qualification approved by the GMC for substantive consultant post.
Additional Information
* Flexible and part‑time working patterns available; annualised work may also be considered.
Key Worker Housing Support
* Moray Council offers temporary accommodation for key workers moving to Moray (minimum six months, possible extension to 12 months).
