Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented. They prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner. They maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
Responsibilities
* Gain adequate knowledge of the products represented and communicate their features and benefits to consumers.
* Proactively intercept, engage, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
* Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances (microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, knives).
* Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station.
* Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
* Set up and prepare the Event Table for execution; achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
* Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
* Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
* Complete expense reports in accordance with Company Policy.
* Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution.
* Access the internet and navigate company electronic systems; use Microsoft Outlook and view documents in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats.
This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week; however, the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business and client needs.
Qualifications
* Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device and internal systems.
* Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
* Physical Demands: Stand and walk for the shift; use hands to handle or feel; reach with arms; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop; kneel; squat; climb or step up ladders; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasional up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart; prepare foods using appliances; handle cleaning supplies.
* Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
* Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
* Physical Appearance: Maintain a neat, professional appearance in line with retailer dress code.
* Language Skills: English; bilingual skills may be required based on business needs.
