KPMG’s Strategy Group is looking for candidates with Deal Strategy experience to strengthen our presence in the Deals market across sectors. This role is for an Associate Director focusing on the Consumer, Retail & Leisure industry, though experience outside this sector may also be relevant.
Our Deal Strategy proposition is delivered from within KPMG’s Strategy Group, which works across Growth, Transact, and Transform situations. The team comprises around 500 UK practitioners collaborating with wider Advisory capabilities and international partners.

The Strategy & Performance Transformation team is part of KPMG’s expanding Strategy Group, delivering value through innovative thinking, industry insights, and rigorous execution. The team includes over 150 practitioners working with various capabilities within Advisory.
What will you be doing?
* Act as a credible client liaison, developing long-term relationships and representing the firm
* Design and manage projects or workstreams, including M&A related projects such as Commercial Due Diligence, M&A Strategy, and Value Creation
* Produce high-quality deliverables with minimal review
* Develop creative solutions to complex problems within team and client contexts
* Build detailed financial/business models and guide junior team members
* Support practice growth through internal initiatives and business development
* Ensure adherence to risk management frameworks
What will you need?
* Experience in strategy consulting, Big 4, or corporate development
* Understanding of value drivers in the Consumer sector; experience in other sectors is also relevant
* Experience managing workstreams and projects, including recent M&A transactions
* Experience developing proposals, scopes, and pricing
* Involvement in business development activities
* Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and internal responsibility experience
