Internal Sales Engineer

Within the WIKA Group, currently 11,200 employees are dedicated to maintain and improve technology in pressure, temperature, force and level measurement, and also in the fields of flow measurement, calibration and SF 6 gas solutions.
WIKA Instruments in Sevenoaks provide pressure, temperature, level, flow, force and related calibration instruments. Our facility includes an engineering services department with repair, modification and calibration capability as well as incorporating the TC Fluid Control, level manufacturing capability and our ATEX approved electrical temperature manufacturing line. We are now looking for an accounts payable to join our team.

Your Activities:
Technical sales and support for WIKA's entire product range.
Qualify new enquiries via telephone or email as required, working with the Area Sales Managers as necessary
Respond in a professional and technically competent manner to customer enquiries within the time frame expected by the enquirer and in accordance to the WIKA Sales Charter.
Responsible for quoting nominated key accounts accurately and professionally within an agreed time frame.
Generation of quotes and supporting documents as required using the Company ERP/CRM system.
Management of Activities, Opportunities and all customer touch points via the Company CRM system.
Ensure robust quotation follow-ups are carried out according to Area, Division and Company Dashboard targets and log details of the follow ups in the Activity fields in the Company CRM System.
Work with the Internal Sales Team Leader, Internal Sales Manager; Area Sales Manager and Product Sales Specialists to maximise opportunities, be effective and operate in the most efficient way to retain all current business and to win new business.
Demonstrate proactive communication to our customers to capitalise on all opportunities.
Demonstrate a proactive process to develop business within your sales area.
Take complete ownership of the sales process from opportunity through to delivery of the goods.
Negotiate suitable purchase pricing and delivery times to maximise margin and meet customer expectations to win new business. Keep all negotiation records on our ERP/CRM and ensure these are communicated to the team members.
Be aware of both individual and departmental expected standards, objectives, targets and commitments of the WIKA Sales Charter and ensure they are maintained at all times.
Liaise with Customer Service Team to make sure orders are processed correctly, within the agreed time frame and in accordance with the Company's procedures, WIKA Sales Charter and work instructions.
Work with the Quality Team providing technical expertise to Investigate and provide professional and responsive query resolution to customer claims, complaints and facilitate satisfactory resolution.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement process, including Kaizen activities and commitment to the WIKA Sales Charter.
Travel to any of the WIKA UK offices as and when required for meetings, training and/or any other business related topics that require your attendance.
Work with the Internal Sales Manager & Management Team on other projects and assignments where appropriate.

Your Profile:
Strong understanding of technical products, ideally within instrumentation, measurement, engineering, or industrial equipment.
Ability to interpret technical enquiries and provide accurate, competent responses.
Experience in technical sales, inside sales, or customer-facing engineering roles.
Demonstrates ownership of the full sales cycle from enquiry through to delivery.
Works well within a team environment, across sales, customer service, quality, and management.
Experience using CRM systems to manage activities, opportunities, and customer touchpoints.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries, quotes, and follow-ups simultaneously with the ability to work to targets, KPIs, and deadlines.
Professional, proactive communication style across phone, email, and written channels.
Displays a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to contribute to team and process enhancements
