Full-Time Permanent Group Payroll Officer Newry Key Responsibilities Include: Process high-volume weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time, ensuring all data from time and attendance systems is captured and verified. Collaborate with the HR team to manage starters, leavers, and salary changes, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment and onboarding requirements. Prepare and submit statutory and payroll-related payments, including BACS, PAYE, and pension contributions, ensuring all deadlines are met and confidentiality is maintained. Produce payroll reports and reconciliations, including monthly analysis, manpower reports, and year-end summaries. Respond promptly and professionally to payroll queries, delivering excellent support to employees while keeping up to date with payroll and pension legislation. Essential Criteria: Previous payroll experience within a busy accounts or finance department, ideally processing high-volume payroll. Experience with both NI & ROI payroll processing. Excellent communication and numerical skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure. Trustworthy, with a consistent commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience with time management systems and strong Excel skills.
