As the Engineering Manager, you will lead the design team for the delivery of bespoke laboratory equipment solutions that don't exist anywhere else. Overseeing the creation of specialist equipment used by over 300 institutions worldwide.
Multi-Site: Take charge of design activity for the Manchester and Oxford engineering staff, providing the strategic direction they need to excel.
Own the Lifecycle: Go beyond just design; you will also contribute to the full engineering journey including Installation, Commissioning and Training.
Mentor Experts: Support and develop a talented engineering team, acting as their technical authority and guiding them through complex problem-solving.
Shape the Future: Drive continuous improvement in tools and methodologies, ensuring engineering standards remain world-class.
Leadership: Part of the senior management team within the E&T division driving systems, processes and people forwards,What You'll Need to Apply:
You will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer who enjoys the balance of technical oversight and people management.
A broad mechanical systems/equipment design background;
Experience leading design engineering teams;
Proficiency with modern CAD systems and their management;
