Pay rate: £50 per hour
Are you an experienced and passionate Social Work Team Manager, looking for career progression? Pertemps Profession Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Work Team Manager to lead a dedicated Leaving Care 16+ Team. Working within this Authority’s Leaving Care 16+ Service, you'll be part of a busy, supportive team assessing and working with vulnerable children and their families, intervening where children need support, and providing help to vulnerable adults at an earlier stage.
The service maintains strong links with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote local community support when social care involvement is no longer needed. Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes of your interventions. Using best practices, you will strive to provide the best outcomes for children, with a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.
Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree, creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.
* Experience working in a Social Services Directorate or other statutory or voluntary agency.
* Continuous improvement mindset to provide the best outcomes for individuals and families.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users.
* Experience working with a range of client groups within an agency.
* Skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families.
* Committed to high-quality service provision.
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary, interagency environment.
* Knowledge of legislation related to social work practice.
* At least 4 years qualified.
In this role, you will:
* Use your skills, knowledge, and experience to assess risks, protection, and social care needs.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Use specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Devise individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
* Support and advise unqualified staff and students.
