The successful Tooling Engineer will be responsible for managing tooling on time and to budget. The role offers a defined career path and further personal progression.
Responsibilities
* Delivering tooling, from initial concept and design through to series manufacturing.
* Sourcing new tooling suppliers and leading value for money studies.
* Generating detailed project plans and forecasting tooling spend.
* Monitoring, identifying and resolving problems with tool manufacturing.
* Ensuring tooling is managed within budget and to agreed timescales.
* Co‑ordinating tooling reviews, trials and tool buy‑off.
Qualifications
Ideally, candidates will have a Degree or HNC/HND qualification and a solid understanding of injection moulding tooling technologies and all aspects of tool design through to series manufacturing.
The successful candidate will have previously managed tooling from sourcing through to production readiness.
