We are looking for Supply Teachers to work in Leicester and surrounding areas, allowing you to build relationships with schools in the area whilst retaining work flexibility and without planning and marking.Working in a Supply Teacher job through Hays, you will benefit from working on a full or part-time basis to suit your needs and work-life balance. 1. Supervise students in lessons whilst delivering pre-prepared work left by the teacher
2. Ensure students are ‘on task’ and provide encouragement and academic support
3. Manage student behaviour in the classroom by following the school’s behaviour policy
4. Follow the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures and deal with any immediate problems.
5. Collatepleted work from the lesson and leave a handover/feedback for the returning teacher
For long-term positions, you may be required to plan, mark and assess pupils' work, but PPA time will be included.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed, you must have Qualified Teacher Status or have recent teaching experience within the last 2 years.
