About you - You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated solicitor willing to seize the opportunity to develop a role that is new to this Council. You could already be a local government solicitor with experience of advising on litigation and / or adult social care matters, or you could be a solicitor with some experience open to the challenge of developing this role and your skills.
About us - We are a busy Legal Team developing a closer and more collaborative relationship with our neighbouring authority Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. We already share a Joint Chief Executive and we're exploring new ways of working together. Our experience Adult Social Care and Litigation Team support professional colleagues across all parts of the Torfaen County Borough Council to deliver an excellent service to the residents of Torfaen, drawing on their expertise and experience we're developing this role to do the same for Blaenau Gwent. About the role - This is an exciting opportunity, new to the Legal Team you will be employed by Torfaen Council, receive mentoring from experienced officers in Torfaen Council's Adult Social Care and Litigation Team, whilst supporting Blaenau Gwent Council in dealing with litigation and adult social care matters.
