KS1 Teacher Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of KS1 students. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development. Support students in their academic and personal development, helping them grow into confident learners. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance curriculum delivery. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required. KS1 Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in KS1 or in a primary school setting. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods for KS1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
