We're on the lookout for a new General Manager at? The Turks Head, Hasketon, near Woodbridge Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented General Manager to lead this much loved destination venue.?
You will be an enthusiastic, motivating and passionate General Manager, who can be at the heart of the community, making our customers feel special in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You will demonstrate and expect the highest professional standards, working directly with the operations director and Head Chef to push the boundaries of?modern British pub/restaurant dining?.
You will be given the freedom to express and implement your ideas, including organising events. You will strive to build a friendly, supportive, creative and happy team, who enjoy coming to work and are as passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience as you are. You will have an excellent working knowledge of quality drinks and a good understanding of food.
Job Description
As a General Manager you will be responsible for :
All elements of profit and loss accounts
Driving revenue through various sales and marketing tools
Training & developing staff at all levels
Cellar management
Good understanding about food & drink
Be commercially minded
Planning, organising and coming up with creative working ideas
Passionate about customer service
Strong staff management skills
Be able to think on their feet and come up with conclusive ideas
Identifying problems and reacting to resolve the issues
Be able to deal with costs in line with sales
Keeping up to date with licensing legislation, liaising with the authorities and taking overall legal responsibility for the premises
The Ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in a similar gastro pub & background at General Manager level
Must come from a food led pub background
Must have some strong financial understanding
Be able to work in a high demanding environment
Able to give clear instructions to the senior management team and staff members
Good understanding of quality food & drink
Must be flexible in working different shift patterns
Events planning
Be proactive and being able to think on their feet
Used to dealing with different types of clientele with customer service being the top priority
