Compensation
Circa £100k plus an additional package.
Role Overview
A SOC Architect / ASIC Architect responsible for defining high‑level architecture for new chips, developing existing ones, shaping the entire process & design flow, and guiding RTL design of new chips.
Must Have Experience
* Degree, Masters, or PhD in electronics, micro‑electronics, physics, or a similar field
* 10–20 years of full chip design and delivery experience as a chip lead or SOC architect
* Digital / AMS, analog‑mixed‑signal IP expertise
* End‑to‑end chip / SOC delivery experience
* Experience with ASIC & FPGA – Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL
* ADC / DAC – digital‑to‑analog interfaces
* Detailed knowledge of complex tape‑out processes and interactions with fabrication plants
* Full digital design flow, from RTL to GDSII
* SOC design, integration, system design, and system architecture
* Chip experience in power management, PMIC, ultra‑low power, performance optimization, or analogous areas
Bonus / Nice To Have Skills
* Experience with complex cores, processors, CPUS, etc.
* NOC interconnects
* PLL and filter design
* RF‑SOC or RF system architecture
* DSP and signal processing
* Flash memory technologies such as DDR, HBM, high‑bandwidth memory, cache coherence
* Clock and timing constraint expertise
