About You
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You’ll demonstrate high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies, showing new starters how to use equipment, or cleaning up spills, your focus will always be on resident wellbeing.
HC-One is looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience. You should have or be willing to obtain an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation. Strong record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are paramount.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It is important that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate for their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns if necessary.
