Overview

Preston North End Football Club are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the facilities and maintenance team as a part time evening cleaner.

Deepdale not only hosts football matches, but also various other day-to-day meetings, functions, birthday parties, clinics and much more. Your role will be to ensure that your areas of responsibility are cleaned within a set time frame and ready for use by both staff and the general public.

Responsibilities

* Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
* Clean and sanitise toilet facilities, kitchens, and communal areas.
* Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.
* To clean all areas of the stadium and its associated premises to a very high standard.
* Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
* Provide exceptional service by responding to requests from staff or management regarding cleaning needs.
* General purpose cleaning of various areas within and around the stadium which include, but not limited to, stadium concourse areas, hospitality lounges, the stadium bowl, offices, the NHS Minerva Centre and the Heartbeat Clinic areas.

Experience

* A minimum of 12 months experience of working in a professional environment is essential.
* Previous experience of working with heavy machinary such as a floor machine or a buffer is advantageous.
* Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques is essential.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.
* A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards is highly valued. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about cleanliness and take pride in their work. Join us in creating a clean and welcoming environment for everyone
* Experience of infection control measures is desirable.

The role requires you to work on your own for the majority of the time and as part of a team on occasions, part of your responsibilities will be to open and lock up certain areas.

You are required to be flexible, self-motivated, organised and dedicated.

The above job description is not exhaustive, the duties and responsibilities may therefore vary over time according to the changing needs of Preston North End FC and the Preston North End Community and Education Trust.

Full uniform will be provided.

Hours of work

From 5pm to 9om Monday to Friday. The minimum working week will be 20 hours. In addition to your standard working hours, the role requires you to form part of the matchday team to cover matchdays on a rotational basis. (approximately one game in five).

You will be given as much notice as possible and further information can be discussed at the interview stage.

Preston North End stadium is situated in the heart of Preston, Deepdale. Preston North End FC was officially formed in 1880 and was a founder member of the Football League in 1888.
