Piping Supervisor: Power Generation Location: Bedford Duration: 6 Weeks Hours: 10 hours per day – Monday to Saturday Start: Monday 2nd February Rate: £30.00 per hour Monday to Friday / £35.00 per hour weekend – PAYE inc hol pay Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Piping Supervisor to support a new build power generation project in Bedford. This is a short-term assignment overseeing piping installation activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day piping activities on a live power generation construction site Coordinate pipefitters, welders, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow Ensure all works are carried out in line with project drawings, specifications, and method statements Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings, and task risk assessments Liaise with site management, QA/QC, and other discipline supervisors Monitor progress against programme and report on issues or delays Ensure materials, permits, and access are in place ahead of works Support inspection and testing activities as required Requirements Proven experience as a Piping Supervisor on power generation or energy infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of piping systems, installation methods, and site sequencing SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – essential Valid CSCS card Strong understanding of UK HSE regulations Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with site stakeholders Experience working on new build projects preferred
