Overview
SEN Teaching Assistant role at a Primary School in Westhoughton. This is a full-time, long-term temporary position starting ASAP and running until May 2026, with the potential to be extended. The school is a 1.5-form entry Church of England Primary School with a focus on a safe, happy, and well-disciplined learning environment and strong SLT support.
Responsibilities
* Support children in a mixed KS1 SEN class, with experience or exposure to working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, and MLD.
* Use effective communication and behaviour management techniques to support pupils.
* Contribute to a positive learning environment that aligns with the school’s ethos and community involvement.
Qualifications
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
* Experience working with SEMH.
* Clear enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
* Your CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible; explain any employment breaks.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
