Packaging Machinery (Electrical Bias)
Central UK
£45,000 – £48,000 Plus OT
Car – Personal use
Holidays – 25 – Xmas Shutdown
OTE 70k plus
2/3 night away per week
We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a leading OEM specialising in packaging machinery. The company manufactures and services equipment including VFFS, HFFS, flow wrap machines, multi-head weighers, and related systems.
Role Overview
This is an electrically biased role requiring a minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. You will work on industrial packaging machinery within the food industry, supporting installations, commissioning, and service activities across customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Working with servo drives and electrical control systems
* Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
* Working on three-phase machinery in industrial environments
* Site visits primarily within the food industry
* Wiring and rewiring machinery
* PLC fault finding and diagnostics
* Using digital voltage meters
* Working with sensors, actuators, and inverters
* Carrying out installation, commissioning, and service work
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
* Experience working with industrial machinery
* Strong electrical fault-finding skills
* Ability to work independently at customer sites
* Willingness to stay away from home 2–3 nights per week on average

* Basic Salary: £45,000 – £48,000
* Overtime: £25 per hour
* OTE: £70,000+
* Working Hours: 45 hours per week
