They specialize in complex projects within data centres, pharmaceuticals, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Manager to join their dynamic team in London, delivering cutting-edge building management solutions for prestigious projects.
Job Overview:
As a BMS Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of Building Management Systems for high-profile construction projects. You will oversee the delivery of BMS solutions, ensuring they meet client specifications, industry standards, and project timelines. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive operational efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of BMS systems for large-scale projects.
Manage the full lifecycle of BMS projects, from concept to handover, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards (e.g., CIBSE, BSRIA, ASHRAE).
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate BMS with other building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, fire, and security systems).
Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and schedules to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
Oversee programming and configuration of BMS software (e.g., Trend, Siemens, Honeywell, or Schneider Electric systems).
Conduct system testing, fault diagnosis, and optimization to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.
Manage budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including CDM 2015.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve technical issues.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BMS and smart building solutions.
The company offers an attractive permanent salary with benefits but would also entertain a freelance on day rate
