Lead Researcher (NZ & Australia) – Executive Decision-Makers, Associations & Events
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Researcher to support a targeted outreach campaign designed to place a senior facilitator and speaker in front of executive-level decision makers across New Zealand and Australia.
This role is not about volume scraping. It is about accurate, current, decision-maker intelligence.
You will be responsible for researching and building precise, up-to-date lead lists across three core categories:
Companies (20+ employees)
Professional Associations
Corporate & Association Events
Scope of Work
1. Company Decision-Maker Research (New Zealand focus can also be Australia secondary)
Your role is to identify 5–8 highly relevant, reachable decision makers per organisation.
Target companies:
Employ 20+ staff
Actively invest in employee wellbeing, leadership, culture, or retention
Likely to fund workshops, training, or internal development programs
Target roles may include (but are not limited to):
CEO / Managing Director
COO
Head of People & Culture
HR Director / HR Manager
Head of Learning & Development
Operations Director
Each lead must include (where available):
Full name
Job title / role
Company name
LinkedIn profile URL
Verified business email address
Phone number (direct or main office, where possible)
Accuracy matters more than speed.
2. Association Research (New Zealand & Australia)
Identify relevant professional associations, including but not limited to:
Dental associations
Construction & trades associations
Healthcare associations
Hair & beauty industry associations
Professional services associations
Industry bodies with active member education programs
For each association, provide:
Association name
Website
Country (NZ or Australia)
Primary contact role (e.g. CEO, Executive Director, Events Manager, Education Manager)
Contact name (where available)
Email address
LinkedIn profile (if applicable)
3. Events & Speaking Opportunities Research
Research upcoming corporate workshops, conferences, and association events where:
Executive or management-level audiences are present
External speakers or facilitators are engaged
Topics include leadership, wellbeing, culture, performance, or people development
For each event, provide:
Event name
Hosting organisation or association
Location (city & country)
Event date(s)
Event website or listing URL
Contact role + name (events manager, program director, partnerships, etc.)
Email address
LinkedIn profile (where available)
Deliverables
Clean, structured lead lists (Google Sheets or Excel)
Separate tabs for:
Companies & decision-makers
Associations
Events
No scraped or outdated lists
No generic info@ emails unless no other option exists
All data must be current, relevant, and outreach-ready.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience in B2B lead research
Strong LinkedIn research skills (Sales Navigator experience a plus)
Comfortable identifying executive-level stakeholders
High attention to detail
Understands the difference between buyers vs influencers
Able to follow clear research criteria without guesswork
Bonus points if you're familiar with the NZ / Australia market
