JPMAM Global RFP Group Department Description:
The Global RFP Group is responsible for creating the documents which articulate. Morgan Asset Management’s (JPMAM) unique value proposition and brand commitments to clients around the world. This team works closely with our Product Investment Specialist and Client Advisor partners to create, curate and maintain Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs).
The Global RFP Group plays a key role in both the acquisition of new business and the retention of valuable existing clients, through the completion of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and other written client materials.
Role Description:
An opportunity has arisen for an RFP Team Leader/management position based in London, as part of the wider JPMAM Global RFP Group.
This role has a specialist product focus, and offers the opportunity to learn about JPMAM’s extensive range of investment products. The role will be focused on our Multi-Asset Solutions strategies. This role involves completing RFPs/DDQs as an individual contributor, as well as overseeing and reviewing the RFP/DDQ work and otherwise supervising other individuals on the local team. This role also involves helping coordinate new technological applications the firm is developing including digitization and AI approaches to creating content repositories and efficiencies in the workflow process of responding to RFPs/DDQs.
This role requires a highly motivated team leader who can juggle multiple tasks while accomplishing broader strategic initiatives as well as people and stake holder management.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Work in close collaboration with and provide supervision and continuous review of other members of the team to help deliver high quality content and solutions to be used in RFPs and DDQs, creating accurate, compelling and client-focused responses.
2. Maintenance and organisation of investment process language within our content library, IRL.
3. Overall responsibility for production and internal distribution of draft and final version RFPs for self as well as other members of the team.
4. Development of strong, effective, two-way working relationships and collaboration with key stakeholders, including sales teams and Investment Specialists and other senior members of the firm.
5. Stay up to date with regulatory requirements as these come into force in EMEA and globally.
6. Interact with key stakeholder groups who will help in providing data and answering questions more thoroughly (., Sales teams, Investments Specialists, Client Account Management, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Finance, Trading and other departments)
7. Rigorous adherence to approved review, compliance and record-keeping procedures
Essential experience / knowledge / competencies:
8. Solid grounding in financial markets.
9. Excellent writing skills in English, and strong numeracy
10. People management while simultaneously completing own individual RFP/DDQ projects
11. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work interactively and inclusively with colleagues at all levels and across teams
12. Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail
13. Ability to work under pressure, and with flexibility, to meet tight deadlines
14. Organisation, prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
15. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook skills (intermediate/advanced)
16. Prior RFP writing experience in the asset management industry a distinct advantage
17. Self-motivated, curious, and pro-active. Able to multi-task independently within a fast-paced team environment
Knowledge of JPMAM’s investment products, and the organisation of our business, would be a distinct advantage. The Investment Management Certificate (IMC) qualification, or equivalent, would also be helpful but is not essential.
