Are you an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer seeking to contribute to sustainable and innovative building services projects? Join a dynamic multidisciplinary consultancy based in central London, renowned for engineering better buildings through considered, contextual, and planet-friendly design.
About the Role
As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-performance electrical systems across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure integrated and efficient designs that meet both client expectations and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver electrical building services designs across all RIBA stages.
* Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
* Conduct site visits and surveys; attend client and design meetings.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated designs.
* Stay updated with relevant regulations and technical standards (e.g., BS7671, CIBSE Guidelines, Part L).
* Support senior engineers and mentor junior staff as needed.
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in electrical design within a building services consultancy.
* Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux/Relux; experience with Revit is advantageous.
* Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines.
