Finance Assistant Location: Warwick Salary: up to £27k DOE benefits About the Role We're looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our busy and supportive Finance Team. This varied role covers Credit Control, Debt Collection, Payroll, and some Purchase Ledger responsibilities. You'll play a key part in keeping our finances running smoothly - from investigating invoice queries and reconciling payments in Xero, to supporting payroll processes and liaising with councils and internal teams across the business. Key Responsibilities Sales Ledger / Credit Control Work with the Sales Ledger Controller and Finance Manager to investigate invoice queries. Liaise directly with councils and internal branch staff. Support debt collection activities and help manage the aged debt report. Payroll Assist with payroll preparation and submissions (weekly, four-weekly, and monthly) to our outsourced provider. Handle payroll queries and support branches with data submissions. Perform weekly and month-end payroll checks. Complete new starter forms and reconcile sales ledger accounts. Purchase Ledger Upload invoices onto the system. Support the Finance Manager with payment queries. Help manage actions from the finance inbox. Other Duties Support finance projects as needed by the Sales Ledger Controller, Finance Manager, or CFO. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a finance environment (essential). Basic Excel skills. Xero experience (advantageous but not essential). Experience in the care sector (beneficial but not essential). Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail. Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills. A positive, proactive "can do" attitude. Why Join Us?
