Please note: All applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to their own vehicle. This is a care position working in and around the SK8 / SK7 postal areas. Deckchair Care have been providing, care, support and companionship to a range of adults living in their own homes since 2017. We are looking for Senior Carers to join our ever-growing team. Our Senior Carers are actively involved in day-to-day care activities – from offering hands-on support, through to the supervision of care services, attending management meetings and providing On Call support. Senior Carers must be able to work a variety of shifts during the week, plus alternate weekends. Working hours are between 7am and 10pm daily - a 4-week shift rotation is provided. Ideally you will hold a NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care and / or be able to demonstrate experience in the sector. Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will be focused on the delivery of outstanding care and will include: * Supporting the wider Care team – Leading by example and following best practice - to ensure the Safe and Effective delivery of care. * Demonstrating a positive and professional image to the care team and clients alike. * Participating in a Senior Team rota, to include care visits and “On Call” shifts. * Attending Senior Meetings with the Management Team to ensure optimal client knowledge. * Supporting the Care Manager to ensure all client administration is up to date, accurate and compliant. * Providing detailed shift handovers / briefs to the wider care team and management, as required. * Assisting with client visits as required - including mornings, lunchtimes & evenings – visits may include companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light household duties and medication administration. * Undertaking training as necessary - to ensure best practice and for professional development. Skills and Experience: * A compassionate nature with excellent communication skills is essential for building rapport with clients and their families. * The ability to use your initiative to deliver an outstanding level of care. * Must be punctual, reliable, professional, friendly and kind. * Must be a car owner and in possession of a full UK driving license. * Available to cover mornings, teatimes AND / OR evening shifts (no later than 10 pm finish). Must be able to work alternate weekends. * Hold a Level 3 NVQ and / or have relevant experience - previous experience in Senior care or a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. * Experience in hospice care or working within assisted living environments is beneficial.
