The Role
As a Property Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day maintenance activities across multiple properties, leading a team of in-house engineers and coordinating with contractors. You will play a key role in ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered effectively while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and allocate tasks to the maintenance team, ensuring timely completion
* Coordinate with subcontractors to plan and deliver maintenance schedules across all properties
* Liaise with internal departments to organise maintenance works
* Keep the Maintenance & Installations Manager updated on progress and issues
* Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day maintenance queries
* Approve and manage orders for parts, equipment, and contractor services
* Maintain stock levels of parts and ensure availability of backup supplies
* Carry out and oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
* Respond to emergencies and provide hands-on support when required
* Ensure full compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations
* Provide team cover during absences and participate in on-call/standby rota
* Complete any additional duties within the scope of the role
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a professional who has:
* Extensive experience in building/property maintenance
* Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
* Strong knowledge of building regulations, compliance, and maintenance best practices
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management ability
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to produce clear reports and maintenance plans
* A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
* A full, clean UK driving licence
