Role Overview As a Software Engineer, you’ll design, develop, test, and commission software for advanced control systems used in SCX’s test facility and client sites. You’ll ensure seamless integration between software and hardware, contributing across the full development lifecycle with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop scalable software for control systems, ensuring performance and safety.
* Collaborate with hardware and electrical teams for system integration.
* Test, debug, and optimise software; support commissioning on-site and in-house.
* Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Provide ongoing support, updates, and troubleshooting.
* Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and integration.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in control systems, automation, or industrial software development.
* Proficient in structured text, ladder logic, etc.
* Knowledge of Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP, SCADA/PLC systems.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Familiarity with safety-critical standards and version control tools.
