Essential:
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or Forensic Psychiatry (or equivalent).
* Approved Clinician status (or eligibility).
* Experience working in inpatient settings, including with patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
* Experience leading and working within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hold overall clinical responsibility for a defined caseload of inpatients.
* Act as Responsible Clinician for individuals detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
* Lead ward rounds, case conferences, and risk management reviews.
* Provide expert psychiatric assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote rehabilitation and recovery using Positive Behavioural Support principles.
* Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Provide supervision and teaching to junior doctors and other members of the MDT.
* Maintain CPD, appraisal, and revalidation requirements in line with professional standards.
