Are you an individual with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in managing all aspects of underwriting for a complex property portfolio?
We are seeking a Property Portfolio Underwriting Manager for our Commercial Insurance business in the London and South East Region.
About the role:
As a Regional Property Portfolio Underwriting Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the region’s commercial property business plan. You will be a subject matter expert, capable of solving complex problems and creating non-standard insurance solutions.
You will support your team in acquiring and retaining business through mentoring, training, and technical approval of referrals, leveraging your high-level technical underwriting license. Additionally, you will oversee the quality of business written and ensure the technical skills of your team are developed in line with growth and market opportunities.
Required skills and experience:
* Leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and managing underwriting teams.
* Technical expertise in property underwriting and portfolio management.
* Experience in building strategic relationships within the market.
* Proven ability to manage complex, non-standard underwriting arrangements.
* Comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry and familiarity with external regulatory frameworks.
