Job Title: Trainee Manager – Children’s Residential Location: Doncaster Working Hours: 40 hours Salary: £37k Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Trainee Manager in the Doncaster area on a permanent basis. In this position, the Trainee Manager will need experience working in a senior position in a Children’s Residential Home and will be reporting to the registered Home Manager. The home cares for 8-18 years olds which prides itself on its homely and safe environment. You will be working alongside the Manager and Deputy, you’ll develop your knowledge of leadership, compliance, and therapeutic care. What the Trainee Manager will be covering: • Help children develop essential life skills, emotional strength, and social confidence. • The Trainee Manager will be working within a small 3 bed home aimed at children and young people with complex needs and past trauma • Take part in planning engaging activities that build self-esteem and belonging. • Work closely with the therapy team, educators, and social workers to contribute to tailored care plans. • Learn how to adjust and review plans to meet each child’s evolving needs. • Support children through difficult moments with compassion and calm. • Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment. • Receive mentoring and, in turn, support junior staff as your confidence grows. • Champion the voices and rights of the children. • Build warm, respectful relationships with families and professionals. • Learn how to ensure the home operates to the highest standards. • Keep accurate records to support continuity of care and wellbeing.
