Main duties of the job
* Provide day-to-day support and direction for the staff team.
* Act in a duty capacity for all contact regarding the daily running of the service.
* Provide enhanced support to enable individuals to fully access all Day Opportunities, including but not limited to PEG feeding devices and administration of medications.
* Provide cover in the absence of the Assistant Disability Day Opportunities Managers.
* Work with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, helping them achieve personal outcomes, ambitions, and maximize opportunities, taking control of their lives and making their own choices. Enable them to build relationships and networks in their local community.
* Work creatively and proactively to ensure person-centred approaches are used. Follow support plans under the guidance of the manager.
* Utilize public transport to access the community and public services. Work alone in the community with individuals you support. Maintain electronic contact records and report concerns to your line manager.
