Role Purpose
As a Production Operative, you will operate and maintain automated fabric cutting equipment to produce accurate, right-first-time cut parts in PVC, canvas, and related technical textiles. This role involves safe material handling, machine setup and operation, inspection, and basic maintenance while working independently and as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling & Preparation: Receive, identify, and stage rolls/sheets (PVC, canvas, vinyl, acrylic-coated fabrics, foams, webbing). Use roll lifters and pallet trucks safely.
Machine Setup & Operation: Set up automated cutting machines (e.g., CNC/Gerber/auto cutter), load markers/programs, perform test cuts, adjust vacuum, tooling/blades, and parameters to meet specifications.
Reading Work Instructions: Interpret cut plans, job cards, and drawings; verify materials, colourways, batch codes, and revision levels.
Quality Control: Check first off and in-process parts against tolerances; record non-conform...
