1. Contract Type: Full-time, 6-month contract
2. Location: Newcastle
3. Start Date: Monday 15 December 2025
4. End Date: Friday 12 June 2026
5. Salary: $79,500 including super
6. Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, start window between 8am-10am

Motor Claims Specialist – Join Us in Supporting Customers After Severe Weather Events

When severe weather impacts our communities, our customers turn to us first. As a Motor Claims Specialist, you’ll be assisting customers with their motor claims when they’ve experienced significant damage to their vehicles, providing support, guidance and reassurance from the very first conversation.

It’s meaningful, fast-paced work, and during weather peaks you’re backed by leaders who care and a team that stays grounded, connected and human.

What I Do as a Motor Claims Specialist

7. Listen, really listen: Customers dealing with major storm damage are often stressed or overwhelmed. I help them feel heard and supported from the first call.
8. Guide them through the next steps: I explain what’s covered, what happens next and make the process feel simple and manageable.
9. Make fair, confident decisions: I balance empathy with clear policy requirements to reach the right outcome.
10. Manage claims end-to-end: I keep each claim progressing so customers can get back on the road sooner.
11. Solve problems thoughtfully: Every situation is different. I think critically to find the best path forward.
12. Stay across the detail: Accurate documentation helps maintain trust and momentum.
13. Lean on the team: Weather events can create high-volume days, but we debrief, support each other and stay human.

14. Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday - contract role until Friday 12 June 2026
15. Salary: $79,500 inclusive of 12% super
16. Training: Five weeks of structured, supportive training, setting you up to succeed and grow from day one.
