We are looking for a Raw & Packaging Materials Procurement Manager to join our UK&I Procurement team in Alfreton. Reporting to the Head of Procurement for the Region, this role is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of procurement activities for all raw and packaging materials.
About the Role
The role serves as the key focal point for procurement topics within the Region, ensuring full alignment with Group standards while supporting the definition and implementation of procurement strategies. Responsibilities include contributing to annual budget processes, collaborating on procurement projects, engaging in supplier scouting and negotiations, and supporting the development of strong, compliant supplier relationships across centrally and locally managed categories.
* Support Procurement Category Managers and the Region Procurement Manager in defining and implementing procurement strategies and monitoring risks.
* Contribute to category implementation, help define annual budgets and project plans, and ensure adherence to Group guidelines.
* Support or lead supplier scouting and negotiations, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and the Ferrero Code of Business Conduct.
* Oversee purchasing activities including price lists, quote allocation, product availability, supplier performance monitoring, and vendor management.
* Support purchase order processes and supervise offer evaluations to identify the best alternatives.
* Contribute to supplier performance reviews for centrally managed suppliers and lead periodic evaluations for locally managed suppliers.
* Manage supplier service levels and support the exchange of information between central and local procurement teams.
* Assist in the identification and delivery of procurement project pipelines.
* Provide input on procurement elements of M&A activities and ensure regular alignment with regional stakeholders.
* Work closely with the Region Procurement Manager and Global Category Managers to support process optimisation, standardization, and continuous improvement across all procurement activities.
About You
* Strong educational foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Experience within Procurement (central or local) and knowledge of raw and/or packaging materials categories or a strong motivation to develop in this area.
* Effective communicator and negotiator with strong stakeholder relationship skills.
* Analytical strength and sound problem‑solving skills, comfortable in resilient, adaptable, and decision‑making environments.
* Strategic mindset and ability to coach and support others.
* Professional, integrity‑driven, results‑oriented attitude aligned with Ferrero’s ethical standards.
* IT capability: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with SAP systems (ECC and/or Ariba) is an advantage.
* Fluency in written and spoken English required; additional languages considered an asset.
